Intro

In this Code of Conduct the expectations of the behavior of BCNL participants, ethical standpoints and general manners are outlined.  All official partners, affiliates and associates commit to it.

Vision

The Netherlands is known for its innovative and collaborative culture. Ingredients such as the high standard of living, attractive financial (tax) climate, our commercial spirit, the high level of knowledge, the solidarity principle and good (digital) infrastructure are excellent conditions to be and remain an attractive blockchain hub. 

Startups and scale-ups need support, resources, talent, network and funds to make a positive impact and to be relevant. By smooth mutual cooperation and by making the Netherlands an international blockchain hub, the chance of success of promising startups and scale-ups is increased. Blockchain Netherlands is convinced that this can only be achieved if the blockchain landscape works together structurally and qualitatively so that blockchain startups and scale-ups are better provided in their needs.

Mission

We represent the interests of blockchain startups and scale-ups based in the Netherlands. Our mission is to increase the chance of success by optimizing the conditions for them. We do this by:

• Providing education and awareness.
• Making the Netherlands a leading blockchain hub in the world.
• Connecting the Dutch blockchain ecosystem, both nationally and internationally.
• Facilitating mutual collaboration.
• Demonstrating to society and (international) businesses what Dutch blockchain startups and scale-ups have to offer.

Strategy and added value

• Linking Dutch-based blockchain startups and scale-ups both nationally and internationally.
• Setting a quality standard for the Dutch blockchain startup and scale-up landscape, by having a due diligence check carried out by an independent specialized party.
• Facilitate collaboration with stakeholders.
• The place to be for international organizations and institutions to blockchain startups and scale-ups established in the Netherlands.
• Provide insight into the community by identifying trends, hurdles and needs through research and publication.
• BCNL (Blockchain Netherlands) as an organization uses relevant products and services from blockchain startups and scale-ups that are affiliated with BCNL and actively promotes them.

Scrupulousness, honesty and integrity  – We respect each other at BCNL and act according to ethical standards to stay a trustworthy collaborative partner. We act with integrity by showing to the highest professional standards.

Inspire and educate –  We set an example – by behaving in a way that shows what we expect from each other. At BCNL, we educate, inspire and create awareness for blockchain, DLT and crypto technology to stimulate adoption.

Responsibility – We use technology for the better by supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, Paris Climate Goals, Blockchain for Good and others, we contribute to achieving those goals. As a part of  BCNL, we represent the community in a responsible way and act accountable towards partners and other stakeholders.
