Talk #1: Amsterdam blockchain ecosystem and a demo of Blockdata
A look into the health and recent developments of the Amsterdam blockchain ecosystem. This will be supported and supplemented by what we’ve learned from building Blockdata over the last six months. Blockdata is the most comprehensive source of information on the companies, products, and projects that make up the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. Blockdata launched in November 2018 and provides the backbone of research for professionals, traders, and technologists.
Talk #2: Security Token Offerings (STOs)
Rorik will discuss a new trend in blockchain space: The Security Token Offering. A new kid on the block as a result of the ICO rise and fall last years. This new mechanism enables businesses to register, distribute and monetize their equity powered by blockchain.
With blockchain technology and the industry slowly maturing, more legitimate and regulated applications of blockchain are found. Bringing securities to the blockchain will potentially disrupt the stock market and opens a new opportunity for entrepreneurs looking for funding.
During the talk Rorik will give an introduction to Security Tokens, their offerings and the development in the industry regarding this new application.

Before he started wearing his wooden bow tie at blockchain meetups, he studied electrical engineering and has worked in startups as diverse as 3D food printing, private jets, bitcoin exchanges, and a data company tracking VC funding for tech companies.
